Content and physical description
ContentVladimír Vaněk sends the promised lecture on Bohuslav Martinů [attached]. The conclusion is a bit exacerbated against the self-proclaimed biographies of BM from Prague, VV would hate to see this removed from the lecture. He asks for a translation into English to be sent. VV knows enough English to check the translation. He would also like to know who will be reading his lecture. He does not insist on an honorarium and asks that the $20 be used to pay SVU membership dues and for a subscription to Promenade, so that Ladislav Radimovsky will be happy too. Miloš Šafránek travels around the world claiming to be the only authorized biographer of BM, which is nonsense. At the same time, Charlotte Martinů is suing him for publishing BM's letters against her will and also refusing to return the manuscripts and notes of ChM to other owners. They are now appropriating BM in the name of the Prague government, and it is important to respond to this, as VV does in the lecture.
