Content and physical description
ContentMartinů in Polička has no published compositions by Bohuslav Martinů, only his manuscripts from his youth and study compositions by other composers. Nobody in Polička has anything either. František Šauer has one Sonata, who could lend it. But he doesn't know where the other sonatas might be. The following is an inventory of manuscripts of early BM compositions found in Polička. They received the radio bulletin late and so did not notice that the 2nd SYMPHONY was played. They only found out about its performance by the Philharmonic from a review in Lidovky. They must be careful not to miss the performance of THE FIELD MASS. [František Martinů] has a lump on his eye which he must have removed. They have already received 4 packages and 8 more are to come. Hopefully BM will have a place to stay in Prague when he arrives. Maybe he won't stay there long. The wind is blowing so hard they can't heat in the stove.
