ContentAt the invitation of Capt. [Jan] Fierlinger, Jan Löwenbach writes down how to obtain material for individual Bohuslav Martinů compositions. 1 and No. 2 is in B&H; SINFONIETTA GIOCOSA is in manuscript, but B&H has it; the "string concerto" [CONCERTO DA CAMERA?] from 1941 is in manuscript; CELL SONATA [no. 1 or 2] will be published by Associated Music Publishers; THE CLASSICAL CONCERTO [presumably no. 2] is held by Rudolf Firkušný; THE MUSIC CONCERTO [no. 2] for Mischa Elman is by a performer and will be published by B&H; the SMITH QUARTETS will be published by Schott [no BM quartet was published by Schott until 1944]; MUSIC FOR WIND ENSEMBLY [perhaps a BIRD QUINTET] does not exist, this is probably a mistake. B&H has a branch in New York, AMP also. Of his last items, BM gave AMP a KEYBOARD QUARTET, a MEMORIAL TO PEOPLE, and two songbooks [LETTERS ON ONE PAGE and LETTERS ON TWO PAGES, unpublished by AMP, however].
