Content and physical description
ContentCharlotta Martinů thanks Karel Šebánek for sending her scores to Switzerland and the United States. She wrote to [Anna] Špačková to call KS. ChM is happy that the situation has been resolved, as it had been dragging on since August. As every year, she also went to see the grave of Bohuslav Martinů and combined the trip with a visit to the lawyer in Zurich, whom she unfortunately did not reach. She is upset that the contract has not yet been signed and does not know when she will be able to return to Switzerland. She has received a CLAIR SONATA (which one?) from the State Music Publishing House. She should also soon receive a SONG from Zdenka Podhajska. [Harry] Halbreich has moved to Brussels for work reasons, where he has been appointed director, so the book will not be ready so quickly. When ChM goes to Prague for the [Prague Spring?] festival, he will take the score with him. On 10 November, Basel radio performed GENEITBA, which was a great success, and ChM hopes to get a recording of the concert. He also has a recording of the GREEK PASSIONS from Italian radio. [Zdenek] Zouhar has promised to send her ARIADNA. ChM asks what BM opera will be studied in Brno this year. She also read that Laterna Magica will be coming to Paris in January. At the end of January she will go to Mannheim to attend a performance of ALEXANDRE BIS. When the new editions are published by Eschig, she will have several copies of the CS sent to her. She also attended a concert by [František] Smetana, who performed SONATA No. 3. ChM asks KS to send a copy of NONET [No. 1?]. KS may continue to write a publication on the Cello Concerto [CONCERT SYMPHONY No. 2?]. ChM will also see the Czech Trio in Paris. [Josef] Páleníček is a member of the jury in the competition organized by Marguerite Long.
