Content and physical description
ContentThe Theatre Department of Dilia thanks you for your letter of 15 December 1969, but having taken into account the results of the cooperation to date, they wish to announce that they are terminating the present contract between Dilia and Boosey & Hawkes for the representation of ballets by Czechoslovak authors for the French language area as of 23 May 1970. However, they propose that the contract concerning the rights of B&H to represent the music-dramatic works and ballets of Bohuslav Martinů, in particular the opera JULIETTE, be maintained.
The following is a list of BM works under consideration: JULIETTE, THE VOICE OF THE FOREST, [THEATRE BEYOND THE GATE?], TEARS OF THE KNIFE, WHO IS THE MOST POWERFUL IN THE WORLD?, REBELLION, SOLDIER AND DANCER, PLAYS ABOUT MARY, SPANIEL. A copy of the letter is being sent to Charlotte Martinů, who will make the final decision on whether to enter into a new agreement to represent Bohuslav Martinů's works through the B&H publishing company.
