ContentMartinů sends the manuscript of the SMYČC QUARTET No. 4 and asks for a copy of the score and material. The manuscript is then to be sent to Puc, to whom it belongs and who has the first performance (October-November), after which the work is free. He will send the score of the CONCERTINA FOR CLASSICAL TRIO AND MUSIC ORCHESTRA next week. The material for the INVENTIONS is with Martinů, the score is still in Geneva [with Ansermet], but he will get it back soon. The work will probably be performed in Paris, but Melantrich may dispose of it. Talich of the CHF knows the work, it was to be performed 1934-35, but the concert was cancelled at the last minute. CONCERTINA FOR CLASSICAL TRIO AND MUSIC ORCHESTRA could be offered to K. Šejn for the CF with the Smetana Trio. With serenades they can dispose of. Does Heller want to give the GOSPEL ON THE BRIDGE in Olomouc instead of THE GAMES OF MARY? Martinů wouldn't agree to that, he wants to do a full-length play together THE VOICE OF THE FOREST-THE WESELOHRA ON THE BRIDGE-ALEXANDRE-BIS and one shorter thing [?]. He gives his address in the Pas des Calais.
