Content | Charlotte Martinů confirms that based on the contract signed with Éditions Max Esching 3rd of October 1957, the Éditions Max Esching owns the rights for the following compositions: Trio for violin, violoncello and piano, Grand trio in Cmajor for violin, violoncello and piano, QUARTET FOR OBOE, VIOLIN, VIOLONCELLO AND PIANO, SERENADE FOR TWO CLARINETS, VIOLIN, VIOLONCELLO AND VIOLA, SONATA NO.1 FOR PIANO. According to the contract, Bohuslav Martinů was supposed to hand in also a composition for two pianos, a composition for violoncello and piano, a composition violin and violoncello, a composition for violin and viola, a composition for wind instruments and a composition for flute and piano. Instead of the composition for flute and piano, BM provided the CONCERTO FOR OBOE AND ORCHESTRA with a piano reduction. CHM confirms the Éditions' ownership of the rights also for that composition. Because of his death, Martinů could not hand in the rest of the commissioned compositions, instead of
them, CHM send manuscripts of other, un-edited compositions: CZECH RHAPSODY FOR VIOLIN AND PIANO, DUO NO.2 FOR VIOLIN AND VIOLONCELLO, 2 IMPROMPTU FOR HARPSICHORD, SONATA FOR HARPSICHORD, DUO NO.2 FOR VIOLIN AND VIOLA, VIGILIE FOR ORGAN, CHAMBER MUSIC NO.1 FOR CLARINET, VIOLIN, VIOLA, VIOLONCELLO, HARP AND PIANO. Charlotte adds, that for VIGILIE, CHAMBER MUSOC and DUO NO.2 FOR VIOLIN AND VIOLA, the Éditions gives her a ten percent royalty for every sold copy and also a thirty percent share from the net profit from the musical-mechanical rights. |
