Content and physical description

Content	Charlotte Martinů has a copy of the ORCHESTRAL SUITE FROM THE JULIETTE OPERA and asks that you send us other compositions. She asked Karel Šebánek for the address of [Jiří] Macek, not [Zdeněk] Mácal. [Rosalie] Barstow is getting a divorce. [Jean] Leduc has not given her any GL manuscripts (Germaine Leroux?). ChM is completing a photo album, but some are missing. Asks KS to ask the director of the museum [National Museum?] if he would be interested in the photos after her death. She also wonders if KS was in Paris with Bohuslav Martinů and [Josef] Šíma in 1948. She would like to mark the date on the photo. As regards the manuscripts, GL together with [Jaromír] Špáček must approach a lawyer. However, JŠ has not yet contacted him. ChM will go to Prague this spring and talk to [Josef] Páleníček and see if there is anything new about BM and SYMPHONY No. 6. He is delighted with the score of JULIETTA and hopes to see it one day. Yesterday KS sent a package containing MADRIGALS. ChM also found out from Le Calve that [Charles] Venhoda is coming to Compiègne. She is not sure whether KV has all the Madrigals and asks KS to forward them. She would like to hear the Madrigals one day. She also asks KS to inform [Sasha] Vettomov that she went to Paris to collect her diploma for the grand prize of the Académie Charles-Cros. She also heard the CONCERT FOR VIOLONCELLO AND ORCHESTRA No. 2 on the radio. And she also heard a performance of the CONCERT FOR HOBO AND SMALL ORCHESTRA by František Hanták and the Brno State Philharmonic. At the concert she met the Minister of Culture and many acquaintances. She also met Harry Halbreich, who remains in Brussels. He sends a telephone contact to SV.
