Content and physical description
ContentCharlotta Martinů reports from Paris, where she participated in a performance of SYMPHONY No. 1 in the Office de radiodiffusion-télévision française. As usual, the concert was a great success. He asks KS to collect the manuscript of THREE WISHES from the Municipal Museum in Polička and make a copy of it. As this work is to be performed, copies of the score, piano lift and material should be made and then sent to Belgium. ChM also asks KS for the discs of THE PIANO TRIO, a shipment of [Jan] Zrzavý's paintings, the CONCERT FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA No. 1, two discs by [Miroslav] Bures, two scores of THE VOICE OF THE WOODS and ISTAR, and also to send from Panton DEPARTURE. Paul Sacher gave permission to [Jaroslav] Daňek to make a translation into Czech. ChM is going to Paris on July 4 to sign the Bohuslav Martinů Prize contract - this is a competition where each year one student goes abroad to study composition. She also visited the Eschig publishing house, which will send all of BM's music to KS in September, several copies at a time. ChM will come up with a special history of the ballet CHESS OF KINGS. The production of the material is expensive, so it has still not been published. First performance and preparation of material needs to be arranged. ChM has no idea which publisher edited NONET No. 1, but Octuor de Paris could perform the piece more often, but the edition is too expensive. ChM has no news about [Anna] Špačková.
