Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů answers Jan Novák's questions: the name of SYMPHONY No.6 is "Fantasie symphonic", so it is not a symphony, it is unpublished and the first performance is by [Charles] Munch, so JN will have to settle for one of his other five symphonies. Radio BM almost doesn't catch it. The THREE CZECH DANCES for two pianos is supposed to be 15-16 minutes long, so the indication in the copy is wrong. THEATRE BEHIND THE GATE is not for JN to tackle, it was an impossible idea from BM. JN should draw attention to BM's KYTICI, which is little performed, there has not been a concert performance yet. BM has vague memories of CONCERTINO, but it's not his best work. CONCERT FOR PIANO No. 3 will be published soon and BM will have it sent to Eliska [Novak]. If JN needs anything in that Music Fund [?], BM can help him, he has friends there. BM regrets that he has not heard the WEDDING COSHILES. BM thanks for the greetings from [Jan] Kunec and [Břetislav] Bakala. BM asks JN to check with [Zdeněk] Zouhar if he has received his TWO [PETRKLÍČ] songs. By a note below the text, BM says that he has already received a reply from ZZ and everything is in order.
