Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů asks for support for his further compositional activity and thanks for the support in 1919. He encloses a cycle of piano pieces Preludes? and a list of compositions written in the past year, with their performances. A LITTLE DANCE SUITE and NIPPONARI will be performed by the Czech Philharmonic. [Stanislav] Novák will perform with K[arl] Šolc the HOUSEL SONATA in C major. UKOLÉBAVKY will be performed at the Chamber Society and the ballet NOC at the National Theatre. Not yet commissioned is the score of A MAGICAL NIGHT dedicated to Theo-Drill Oridge. He is currently working on a full-length opera [WINDOWS TO THE WOODS] to a text by Jan Havlasa.
