ContentMartinů requests that the manuscript of the score of TRE RICERCARI be sent immediately to UE London, where they intend to publish the work as early as January 1939. By delaying the delivery of the score, they lost an entire season. Melantrich is to arrange for a copy of the material to be made with UE, to whom the work now belongs. UE London also wants INVENCE and CONCERT FOR CEMBALA AND SMALL ORCH. If Melantrich wants INVENCE, Martinů can withhold it for them. Is Melantrich interested in CONCERT FOR CEMBALO and CONCERTO GROSSO and RONDA, which UE Wien wants to see? As far as their proposal is concerned, Martinů is willing to withhold INVENCE and to write a "Suite of folk dances for ochestre". They would negotiate the details of the project later. He would also agree to release his adaptation of THE SPALK, not the one on the radio. What is the proposed fee for these 3 works? Should they pick up RONDA at the radio and send them to UE Wein, or ask the radio to send them. What about JULIETTA in Olomouc? Martinů wants the score and a key for the adaptation with the author of the Fr. text.
