ContentThe JULIETTA material is at the Ministry of Information, although the National Theatre deposited it for dispatch in December. Karel Šebánek is supposed to look into it. VELOHRA ON THE BRIDGE was a success in the USA and everyone is looking for more operas. Bohuslav Martinů would need the score and material for PLAYS OF MARIA. Postage is to be charged to BM's account with Orbis. Nothing can be done about THE SPALER in the US - could KS send it to Boosey & Hawkes in New York? BM will write to George Taufer regarding the Games of Mary, it is embarrassing, BM had chances to perform. KS is to ask Henry Honzl for help in this matter. BM will ask Ernst Roth to send some copies to CSR [?]
What about the contract between B&H and Orbis? BM will send a package. Henry Swoboda is recording BM's compositions, now he would like SERENADS and RONDA. HS is in Vienna now, KS is to write to him on Philharmonics. He is to send the score of the Plays of Mary by air to B&H.
BM can write to the Minister if necessary, KS to write names and addresses.
BM asks for a prompt dispatch of the Czech edition of Gogol's Marriage and Goldoni's Locandiera, if it has been translated.
