Content and physical description
ContentCharlotta Martinů is delighted that Sasha [Večtomov] has received LES BERGETTES. She is afraid that [Anna] Špačková thinks that he is playing a comedy on her about his health, but that is not true. In fact, ChM really regrets not being able to come to Prague for health reasons. She also regrets that she will not see the 25 April SPALÍČEK, to which she was invited by [Jaroslav] Mihule and [Zdeněk] Pecold. ZP went to London, where he was engaged in performing JULIETTA. [Zdeněk] Zouhar sent ChM the programme of the Brno Philharmonic, where SYMPHONY No. 5 and Music for Strings were performed. ZZ also asked ChM for other compositions by Bohuslav Martinů. He would also like to publish his music. ChM sent him CZECH MADRIGALS. He can give him the tape of the interview with BM. ChM is also looking for GREEK PASSIONS for ZZ. KS can also ask Jozka [Páleníček] for help with visa arrangements. ChM is also sending an invitation (attached). If KS needs money, he can ask ZP for it. JULIETTE is played in several places, even in Yugoslavia. ChM is getting so many letters now that she would need a secretary. She asks that they send their regards on her behalf to Antonio Almeida, whose concert she cannot attend.
