Content and physical description
ContentCharlotte Martinů had wanted to contact Karel Šebánek for a long time. She thinks someone at Dilia told him she's sick. Matters concerning THREE WISHES were arranged by [François] Huybrechts and the publishing house. NONET [No. 1] could be done more often, but the material is very expensive. ChM tried to resolve this matter with [Pierre] Heugel but did not reach him. The CS can call [Zdenek] Pechold and tell him that the opera TWELVE ALEXANDER will be performed at the Office de radiodiffusion-télévision française on 23 November. ChM has not received any disc from Supraphon. Condolences on the death of KS's brother. She is delighted that SLZY KNIFE, which she has never seen, is being performed in Brno. Before the holidays, she arranged with Max Eschig the matter of Bohuslav Martinů's music at the Czechoslovak Embassy in Paris, but unfortunately did not reach the Ambassador there. The matter is now on hold. Henriette Mirvis from Moscow has received the score of the CONCERT FOR TWO PIANOS AND ORCHESTRA and has asked the ChM for a piano excerpt. ChM then asked ME to send the consignment to Moscow. But ChM has no reply, so he asks KS to write to [Hanz] Schneider-Schott to send the extract. ChM met Crozel (?), who still has not received the translation of KYTICE. ChM also wants to ask if the museum in Prague (the National?) would be interested in the manuscript drafts and letters. Unfortunately ChM cannot go to Greece with [Jan] Zrzavy, she tried to contact him but in vain. He also greets Anna Špačková. The film with Koller and [Jaroslav] Mihule will soon be shown in Prague. ChM has received from Supraphon SONATAS FOR VIOLONCELLO (what kind?), VARIATIONS ON SLOVAK PEOPLE'S WRITING, VARIATIONS ON ROSSINI'S THEME. She would also like to receive discs with three sonatas for cello and piano (what kind) with [Josef] Páleníček and [Sacha] Večtomov. She also received a letter from AS. She adds a sentence she found in the English translation of the book by GL (Germaine Leroux?): Special thanks to Michel Dillard who gave her the manuscripts. ChM thinks MD is dead and asks Philippe Marietti about the matter.
