Content and physical description
ContentDilia writes to Boosey & Hawkes regarding representation of BM's music and drama works.
B&H sent the score of JULIETTA to the theatre in Wiesbaden, so Dilia could not arrange for reproduction of the material. The theatre did not perform the opera and time was wasted.
Dilia would like to work with B&H to gradually prepare the materials for all BM music-dramatic works. He proposes to prepare THE SPALIER, JULIET, THEATRE BEHIND THE GATE, THE VOICE OF THE WOODS and THE WOODS ON THE BRIDGE (the latter for his area of responsibility only). He will provide B&H with the necessary quantities of these materials. In turn, B&H would prepare the JENITIBLE, WHAT PEOPLE LIVE BY and MIRANDOLINA and provide the materials to Dilia. The territorial scope would be divided between the two parties in a similar manner as in B&H's contract with Aria.
Other points of the proposal concern the charging of rental fees and the remittance of royalties. The contract would cover not only the theatre but also television and radio. It would be for five years and automatically renewed unless terminated by either party.
Dilia requests comment on the contract and assistance with the JULIETTA matter.
