ContentBohuslav Martinů was very busy and apologizes for not writing sooner. As for the article in Musical Views, it was a mistake - he got the titles of the articles wrong. He did not change the title DIVERTIMENTO, nor is it a new work. BM has been busy working on an opera [THE SOLDIER AND THE DANCER] and several ballet pieces [HANDS, THE WEIRD FLIGHT, KITCHEN REVUE, MARRIED] which he hopes to stage next year. BM is delighted that Otakar Hollmann will perform DIVERTIMENTO and is curious to hear his reactions. [Sergei] Koussevitzky has taken BM's composition [THE CURTAIN] to America and will hopefully play it in Paris. BM hopes to meet OH in Prague in October, otherwise he will be back in Polička.
