Content and physical description
ContentThe details of the arrangements of the individual pieces will be agreed personally during Martinů's visit to Prague in February 1939. Martinů asks for a statement of his account. The ROND score must be in Melantrich, or at the place of performance, i.e. at the radio or at Mánes (Presence). The score CONCERTINA FOR KL. TRIO AND SM. ORCH. is in London, but the material was sent to London in 1937 and in March Martinů handed it over to Melantrich again. Didn't they give it to R. Kubelík or Páleníček? They requested the manuscript score of the CONCERTO FOR PIANO AND ORCH. [No. 2] by G. Leroux? The CONCERTINO FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA was commissioned by J. Arányi, hence its exclusivity. What will happen to the FOUR SONGS ABOUT MARY that they wanted to publish? The score of the march from VESELOHRY ON THE BRIDGE has been received by Martinů. Martinů wants to release TRE RICERCARI, which UE London is interested in.
