Iša Popelka had the opportunity to get acquainted with the estate thanks to Anna Fárová, daughter and heiress of Miloš Šafránek. He was particularly interested in the part related to Martinů. These are very important sources that should be acquired for the BM memorial in Polička. Such a wish was also expressed by AF, who would like to store there all the sources of her father's legacy, even outside the Martinů theme. IK said that a separate fund could be set up for BM.
The estate was also inspected by [Jaroslav] Mihule and [Václav] Holzknecht, who at first (10.2.1984) suggested to the director of the CHF to buy the estate and store it in the Museum of Czech Music as the Miloš Šafránek Fund, which should be made available to researchers as soon as possible due to the valuable materials, however already on 29.2.1984.2.1984, he was in favour of depositing the estate in the BM Memorial in Polička, as he had a strong emotional relationship to this place of the MŠ. The AF is also in favour of depositing it in Polička, and is now compiling a detailed list of the estate. The purchase will hopefully take place later in the year.
IP suggests sending a letter to AF informing her of the intentions and a second letter informing CHF.
The estate includes:
