Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů searched for MIRANDOLINY mastersheets in Nice, but did not find it. They must therefore be at B&H. B.M. has other complaints - his FOURTH SYMPHONY was not performed in Paris due to the unavailability of material. Similarly, TOCCATA E DUE CANZONI was announced on Radio Nice, but was not played for the same reasons. B.M. was not pleased.
B.M. hopes that E.R. gathered enough strength over the holidays to deal with his complaints. He points out that this cannot continue for financial reasons.
B.M. asks E.R. to decide the fate of the SECOND and THIRD SYMPHONY. E.R. promised to take care of FANTASIES in a smaller edition.
B.M. asks E.R. if B&H produced Gershwin's Porgy and Bess and if he could give him a copy.
B.M. asks E.R. to let him know as soon as possible about MIRANDOLINA's mastersheets.
B.M. dealt with the New York branch of B&H by sending mastresheets (probably autographs) of the SECOND and THIRD SYMPHONY and material of the FOURTH SYMPHONY.
B.M. sends greetings, hopes for an early meeting and sends E.R. his address in Nice.
