Content and physical description
ContentCharlotte Martinů describes the current situation in France - strikes and the funeral of Charles de Gaulle. Because of these events, mail has been delayed, so ChM has not yet received shipments of RHAPSODY-CONCERTO contracts and discs. He hopes that the shipments are not lost. She will not be arriving in Prague this winter, but would like to come to Prague Spring Festival. He has no information about JULIETTA, [Walter] Schmolka must send the score to Dilia. Bohuslav Martinů's works are being played a lot, [Rafael] Kubelík is coming on 29 October. The Double Concerto has already been played twelve times in France and also in the Netherlands. The Czech Trio is also coming. ChM will send medicine after Saša Večtom for [Anna] Špačková, who has not answered her letter. Karel Šebánek can discuss matters concerning [Frank] Rybka with [Zdeněk] Pechold. Mr. and Mrs. Sacher are ill. Milan Kuna has written a book on BH's correspondence with [Václav] Talich and is looking for nine letters from 1945-1957 for his next publication, but ChM does not have them. Karel Václav Burian is asking for photographs for his book on [Charles] Munch. ChM does not want to send the originals, so he asks KS to contact him and ask him to be patient while he makes a copy.
