Content and physical description
ContentKarel Šebánek received a second letter from Bohuslav [Martinů]. BM doesn't know how things work here and it is impossible to explain. KS was at the Ministry of Education to resolve the situation regarding the JULIETTA material, which was not issued to BM on the basis of a report by the embassy official in Washington, Mr. Vinař, according to which BM spoke against us [CSR]. However, it was not stated how. After clarification of the situation, the Embassy in Washington was advised to issue the material to BM, and there is also a possibility of requesting that the HER O MARIA operating material be sent. The BM money deposited in the alien account will be a guarantee. Manuscripts from the CSR cannot be sent, but only photocopied, as they are national property. BM complained that no one from the embassy was answering him. There are only 3 people for the whole USA as [Frantisek] Vrba, [Vladimir] Outrata and others are already in Prague. In the publishing houses the situation with international relations is also changed. BM also complained about the arbitrary performance of VESELOHRY ON THE BRIDGE by Prague Radio, but the latter purchased the work for that purpose. KS is looking for Gogol [Marriage] for BM.
