ContentBohuslav Martinů asks the Czech Academy of Sciences to grant support on the basis of the attached cycle of piano polkas [SIX POLEK]. He is grateful for the support of 200 K from June 1917, which he used to write the score of the Czech Rhapsody, which was performed this January and received favourably by critics and the public alike. He names the compositions he has composed during the past year, together with their performances.
