ContentMinutes of the meeting of the commission for the state musical theatres of the Five Years of Bohuslav Martinů and Antonín Dvořák 1987-1991 held at the Theatre Institute Prague on 18 December 1986. The 100th anniversary of BM's birth will be celebrated in 1990 and the 150th anniversary of AD's birth in 1991. The celebrations of these anniversaries will culminate in 1990-1991. It is necessary to ensure that as many music-dramatic works by BM and AD as possible are performed on the Czechoslovak stage during the Quinquennium, both representative and neglected works. Of the BM works, the National Theatre will present ARIADNE in the 1987/1988 season, THREE WISHES OR THE WARMNESS OF LIFE in 1990, GREEK PASSIONS will remain in the repertoire, and a production of JULIETTA (SNAR) is being considered. Works by both authors will also be performed by Czechoslovak Television and Czechoslovak Radio.
