Content	Paul Sacher mediates a response from Bohuslav Martinů to Karl Vötterle: LA LOCANDIERA: BM considers it impossible to perform the work simultaneously at three venues as KV proposes, and the original offer for the Basler Stadttheater cannot be withdrawn anyway. BM also considers the name 'Mirandolina' to be better than 'La Locandiera'. He welcomes a translation by Prof. Albrecht or Stüber. PS has already given the Basler Stadttheater the following materials: libretto in FR, IT, piano extract and score. These materials can now be reclaimed by the KV from the theatre. But Boosey & Hawkes have already produced the piano extract. He has nothing against working with Dilia, but he is not very interested in the Czech crowns because they are worthless. BM agrees that the score and piano extract of Mirandolina should contain only two languages - German and English. DEFENSIVE SONGS: Have KV contact Mr. Josef Vranken who is also familiar with the matter. MOUNT OF THREE LIGHTS: This is not a piece intended only for the church, but is a concert piece. You still need to secure permission from Henry V. Morton, or his publisher. PARABOLY: BM asks KV why he is only offering him a 20% share of the performance material when it was originally 30%. INCANTATION: BM understands that the publication of the concerto has been delayed for the time being, as the work is exclusive to the soloist anyway. STOWE PASTORALS: The scoring of this piece will certainly be of interest to KV, and PS will mail it immediately. CONCERT FOR HOBOY AND SMALL ORCHESTRA : BM asks KV for a little more patience. The mixed choirs that KV has requested cannot yet be sent as he has not yet found a suitable text for their composition.
