Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů submits his compositions FILM EN MINIATURE and TŘI SKICI to the competition. To introduce himself and his work, he sends them critics from Boston and New York for THE STORM (conducted by Sergei Koussevitzky). He also sent them the DUO FOR HOUSEL AND VIOLONCELLO, writing about the success of this work. He reminds them of his name, as his SMITH QUARTET (published by UE) was performed in Berlin (Amaro Quartet). He informs them of the performances of his works for this year (CONCERT FOR PIANO AND ORCH. No. 1 with the Colonne Orchestra, THE WONDERFUL FLIGHT at the Beritz Theatre, THE CALL at the Pleyel Hall with SK). He hopes that they will publish some of his piano works and wishes to know the date of the competition results.
