Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů again turns to Jindřich Honzl for orchestral material for JULIETTE. Despite interventions through the embassy in Washington, he has achieved nothing; the ND has made the material available to the ministry, but it seems to be lying there. He wrote to Jiří Taufro at the Ministry of Information and to Šebánek at Orbis because he could make currency on the opera. MB asks JH if he could inquire further about the whole thing. His and Klicper's VESELOHRA ON THE BRIDGE was staged by them and was a sensational success. BM would need the score and parts of PLAY OF MARY, the opera has been requested by several theatres here and in Europe. He is still unable to send the medicine that JH requested. BM is willing to cover the cost of shipping the parts and score out of his own money.
