ContentWilhelm Strecker writes to Bohuslav Martinů about the publication of the CONCERT FOR VIOLONCELLO AND ORCHESTRA No.1 So far they have only the first edition, which BM wrote shortly before the war. The material for the new version is still with [Pierre] Fournier, who successfully performed the work. WS is looking forward to the new edition and would also like to publish a new piano excerpt and orchestra material. He sends BM a copy of the existing piano lift and suggests that BM contact PF and forward the score to him. The CONCERT SUITE FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA is ready for printing, but Samuel Dushkin has not yet returned the final proofs. The material for orchestra is already ready. WS is not going to the USA this year, so he will not see BM until next year.
