Content and physical description
ContentRichard Klos thanks Charlotte Martinů for her last two letters and is glad that her health has improved. He hopes that they will meet in Prague next summer. Bohuslav Martinů's compositions will be performed during the Prague Spring Festival. A heartfelt letter from Didier Duclos gave them the courage to perform the pieces. DD is obviously a good friend of ChM, so they would also like to welcome him in Prague. Dr. Jong sent RK a letter and a photo of BM. RK asks ChM to send the English text with photos. He promises that the documents will be well handled. He has not yet heard from Supraphon about the English version of ChM's book. RK also sends a letter to Jong. The information about [Lev] Ginsburg is true. [Sasha] Vettomov and [Josef] Palenicek also spoke about the ChM book. Unfortunately no one wants to lend a copy of the books, so LG has a copy from RK. It would be very helpful if she could make a French version of the book. According to LG, they are ready to do everything to get the book published in Russian version as well. RK has not yet spoken to [Yaroslav] Mihule. It's nice that despite her medical indisposition, ChM thought of an unknown quartet (SMITH QUARTET No. 1, or QUARTET FOR CLARINET, FOREST HORN, VIOLONCELLO AND LITTLE BUBBLE?), which is at Le Calve. This work is eagerly awaited. RK thinks it would be best to entrust the manuscript of the piece to the Embassy in Paris, with the request to forward it to RK. They would also like to make a copy of the manuscript and publish the piece with Panton as soon as possible. The manuscript of SCHERZ is in the hands of the CHF and they will send a copy soon. She hopes to have the work published by Panton soon. RK regrets that he found out too late about the proposed publication of the condolence letters. UNESCO is also paying attention to this work. RK will ask JM what could be done about this. RK also thinks that the idea of setting up an association of friends of BM is very interesting. He has no information about the SONATH FOR TWO PIANOES AND A CAVER.
