Content and physical description
ContentKarel Šebánek thanks Charlotte Martinů for the view from Nice. He learned her address from [Marcel] Mihalovici. He was in Paris for only three days and so could not visit her. They [Czech Music Fund] received the material for the CONCERT FOR HOBO AND SMALL ORCHESTRA. In London he spoke to [Ernst] Roth of Boosey & Hawkes about the publication of SYMPHONY No. 2 and SYMPHONY No. 3. It would be good if ChM would sign a contract regarding the editing of these pieces by the Panton publishers in Prague. They also do complete orchestra material. For the next season the CS would need several works by Bohuslav Martinů, because of his 70th anniversary. He therefore asks the ChM for information about the publication of the CONCERTO FOR FLUTE, VIOLIN AND ORCHESTRA, SONATAS FOR FLUTE, VIOLIN AND PIANO, TRIO FOR FLUTE, VIOLIN AND FAGOT AND PROMENADES.
ChM replies on the same sheet that KS can say in Prague that if [the publishing house] does not pay, it is not obliged to sign the contract. Answers questions about BM's 70th anniversary.
