Content and physical description
ContentCharlotte Martinů apologises for writing back to Karel Šebánek so late in response to his letter of 23 April. ChM was ill and her return made her very tired. There is a need for KS to write to Henri Honegger to lend his SONATA DA CAMERA material. KS has contracts with Bärenreiter, who has not issued anything, and can thus address the situation. HH also has the manuscripts and score for the orchestra. ChM thanks KS for the programme and the list of pieces that have been published by Panton. However, he will write about this later. He sends greetings to the Milhauds, Zdeněk Mácal and Serge Baud. She regrets that she could not see them in Prague. She asks KS to ask Jiří Macek to send the discs of SYMPHONY No. 4 that he promised ChM. She also asks KS to ask where the translation of JULIETTA from Czech into French is and whether Georges Neveux, Jarmil Burghauser and Ida de Vries have received the libretto with annotation from BM which ChM sent them. Jean Périsson asked ChM for the score of GREEK PASSIONES so that he could listen to the tapes ChM had left for him at Mario Boise. ChM thinks they will play the opera in Toulouse or Bordeaux. He will contact Jaromir Spacek this week and will also write to KS about less important matters. Part of the letter was written by ChM's nephew [André? or great nephew Alain?] because ChM is not feeling well.
