ContentBoosey & Hawkes informs Dilia of their meeting with Artie. Artia tells them that their representative [Matej Shenar] is going to Zurich. The B&H representatives wanted to present him with their letter to Dilia of 1 June 1954 [concerning JULIETTA and SPALICE], but learned that the question of stage rights was outside the scope of Artia's interest.
B&H agreed with Artie on the terms of mutual representation and sent Artie a draft contract [see BH 1954-07-13c]. B&H would be pleased if Dilia would soon reply to their letter of June 1 so that they could simultaneously arrange a contract with Artie (for BM chamber ["sheet music"] and symphonic music) and with Dilia (for BM stage works). They would divide the territorial scope with Dilia in the same way as with Artie. They would contract for ZENITBA (after Gogol), WHAT PEOPLE LIVE (after Tolstoy) and MIRANDOLINA (after Goldoni), which BM is currently completing.
