Content and physical description
ContentKarel Šolc welcomes the fact that Czechoslovak Radio performs Bohuslav Martinů's piano compositions, but he would like to see the compositions composed before World War II, which KS recorded (a selection from PRELUDIAS, DANCE CRETS, several selections from the BOROVÁ cycle). BM himself wrote to KS in 1957 that he did not have any new pieces for piano, as he had written enough of them before the war and although no one plays them, they are as valuable to BM as the newer works. KS asks that these pieces be included in the broadcast as they would add to BM's creative profile.
