Content and physical description
ContentCharlotte Martinů received a tape from G. Teulières and will take it with her to Prague, leaving there on 18 December with Alain, and after his return to France she will go to Marianske Lazne in January for treatment.
R. Kundera is to tell Mrs. Teulières and Roussel that ChM will negotiate with the Suprahon-Artia representatives at the end of January, once he is in Prague. However, she is not sure that he will succeed, as all 3 sonatas [Sonata Nos. 1-3] have already been recorded. He will return to Vieux-Moulin around the beginning of March.
In Prague she will be staying in a hotel near Charles Bridge, not far from Zrzavý's studio; he celebrated his 86th birthday in the summer, he is well, but can no longer paint, only some drawings; he will be glad to see her again.
To-morrow the Talich Quartet will play at the Church of St Jacques in Compiègne the SMITH QUARTET No. 2; it is one of the best quartets, she has already heard them in Paris at the Théâtre de la Madeleine, the audience would not let them go.
R. Firkušný wrote to her that Boulez would be giving a 4x CONCERT FOR VIOLONCELLO No. 1 with Fournier in November 1976. RF played the CONCERT FOR Clavier AND ORCHESTRA No. 2 in Vancouver, Canada; he has moved; his address is 10 West 66th Street, New York 10023.
