Content	Internal notes to the letter Charlotte Martinů - Karl Vötterle dated 31.1.1969 [Bär 1969-01-31]: 1) ChM's complaints about delayed editions concern works listed in the contract dated 17.2.1964. 2) This contract could not be fully implemented because ChM was at the same time in bilateral talks with Supraphon in Prague and also offered some works to a third publisher. 3) Even before the contract was signed, the publishers Bärenreiter and Supraphon had already concluded an agreement on cooperation for the publication of Bohuslav Martinů's works. Prague will provide the typesetting or copying and the printing of the study scores will be carried out in Kassel. The production of the operational materials will be shared between the two publishers. The production of the voices for INKANTATIONS had already begun before the contract was concluded. 4) Prague is to blame for all these delays in production, Kassel has urged the publication many times. But Bär. is dependent on Prague because the manuscripts for the compositions are located there. 5) Suggestion for further action: during a visit to Prague in March 1969, KV Publishing will again urge or propose to take over the production of the most important BM works to Kassel. The impression probably arose in Supraphon that the contract signed with ChM and Kassel was disadvantageous for Supraphon.
