Content	Karl Vötterle thanks Paul Sacher for his prompt reply and important communications. He responds to the comments on the individual volumes: LA LOCANDIERA: KV would still be interested in a performance in three places, but only with the consent of Bohuslav Martinů and PS. Confirms the new title 'Mirandolina'. The translation will be commissioned as stated in the previous letter. Basler Theater KV has written a diplomatic letter regarding the performance and score materials they need to publish the opera. There should be no problem with the piano lift that Boosey & Hawkes have already created, compensation should not be required by the firm. The proofreading of the Italian libretto will be done in Bärenreiter by a suitable collaborator, but it will be an extra cost to the publishers. Despite BM's lack of interest, however, KV has to negotiate with Dilio for the performance of his works in Czechoslovakia. DIVINE WRITING: KV writes a letter to Josef Vranken because A. Prins still does not reply. MOUNT OF THREE LIGHTS: He will put the work aside for the time being. THE PARABLES: KV already has a reply from the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The performance has been postponed until March/April 1959, so the publisher will be able to produce the voices. They have already started and the work is going well. STOWE PASTORALS: KV thanks for sending the new work, will comment on it soon. CONCERT FOR HOBOY AND SMALL ORCHESTRA: KV will wait for the score to be sent. MIXED CHOIRS: KV thanks BM for the promise to supply the choirs. KV cannot yet comment on financial matters but will certainly make arrangements.
