Content and physical description
ContentErnst Hartmann is happy to meet Bohuslav Martinů. When Universal Edition receives the score of the new version of the GREEK PASSIONS, they will correct the vocal score and the German translation according to it. As the Curich performance is still uncertain, BM should be cautious in any dealings with director Karl H. Krahl. It is possible to perform the work elsewhere. Hamburg, Hannover and Düsseldorf have expressed interest in the work.
Because they have too many other commissions, they cannot publish PARABOLS for the first performance with Charles Munch in the UE. Therefore they send the score back to BM by post.
They do not return the manuscript of the THREE CZECH DANCES for two pianos because UE has a contract for them.
BM wanted to look at the first movement of the piano lift of CONCERTO FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA No. 5 (FANTASIA CONCERTANTE) and mark the places he wanted to edit. BM has the second movement with him, the third will be sent to him soon.
As BM wished, the vocal score of the EPOS ON GILGAMES was sent to Munch in Paris.
