Content and physical description
ContentAlthough David Adams promised that Bohuslav Martinů's SYMPHONY No.2 and SYMPHONY No.3 would be published during 1965, this did not happen. Charlotte Martinů requested that the DA give her a guarantee that both symphonies would be published by June 30, 1966. If she refuses or if the symphonies do not come out despite any guarantee, she reserves the right to terminate the contract for failure to comply with the terms and also reserves the right to dispose of said symphonies as she sees fit.
BM symphonies are in demand. Theodore Vavajanis, conductor of The Athens Philharmonic Orchestra, who performed SYMPHONY No. 5, would like to perform SYMPHONY Nos. 1, 2, and 3. ChM requests that materials from each be sent to Athens and 2 copies of the same also be sent to her at Vieux-Moulin.
ChM requests that the DA see to the reprinting of FIVE CZECH MADRIGALS, THREE SONGS, THREE SONGS and "Six New Czech Songs for Women Voices with Instrumental Accompainment" [joint edition of THREE SONGS and THREE SONGS].
ChM informs DA that she has asked Karel Šebánek, formerly of Melantrich, to help her with legal matters.
