Content and physical description
ContentDavid Adams thanks Bohuslav Martinů for his letter dated 23 March [1959]. He hopes that BM has received a cheque for the royalties. He answers BM’s questions regarding the accounts for the past few years. As for the SONATA DA CAMERA FOR CELLO AND CHAMBER ORCHESTRA, at the present time, it is again sought in London, where, in DA’s opinion, there once was a score of this piece. They have given instructions to return certain materials for STRING QUARTET NO. 7, the THREE CZECH DANCES and the QUARTET FOR OBOE, VIOLIN, CELLO AND PIANO. The last item requiring clarification is the autograph of the excerpts from JULIETTE. Dilia has returned the first 77 pages of the score’s print copy. Is this perhaps the material BM had in mind?
