Content and physical description
ContentCharlotte Martinů has returned from Zurich, where she attended the premiere of THE GREEK PASSIONS, and remarks that it was a great success and that Paul Sacher conducted the work masterfully. ChM recalls that at the last meeting in Prague it was agreed that the addressees would immediately publish the RAPSODY - CONCERT FOR VIOLA AND ORCHESTRA as well as the INCANTATION.
On the advice of Fritz Oeser, ChM wrote to Paul Fromm in Chicago asking for a manuscript or copy of the composition INKANTATION [Paul Fromm's reply enclosed]. ChM comments on the manuscript of PROMENADES for flute, violin and piano - she says that she promised it to Mrs Moyse, to whom it was dedicated, and that she is obliged to give the manuscript to her
[note: the writer may have been referring to the composition Sonata for Flute, Violin and Piano, H 254, which is dedicated to Moyse].
ChM deals with financial matters and asks the addressees to send money to her in Basel, to the Bank Sarasin et Cie.
