Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů writes to Paul [and Maje] Sacher after a long break in their correspondence. BM is still not completely healthy and does not work much. His trip to Europe has again been postponed. He [and Charlotte Martinů] are thinking of returning in the spring, but at the same time have doubts; they may wait longer.
BM has received news from Vienna of Sacher's performance of the Double Concerto. He also saw an announcement of a performance of CONCERTA GROSSA. Where did PS get the material?
Arthur Honegger and his wife Andrée Vaurabourg have left. BM wanted to visit them in Lenox but was unable to do so. He leaves them to say hello. Charles Munch performed Honegger's Symphony for Strings [Symphony No. 2]. They are expecting Ernest Ansermet soon [?]. Munch performs SYMPHONY No. 3. Have PS and MS heard SYMPHONY No. 5 on the radio?
