Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů is waiting for news from Karel Šebánek on how he fared in London. He saw Ralph Hawkes but said nothing to him. He wants to know what the situation is with Orbis and whether they will send him new contracts. KS is to enquire what has happened to the money that has been authorised for BM, where and how they will send it. He asks for a new statement from Antonín Čejka. They are to send 10,000 crowns to his siblings in Polička as soon as possible, 30,000 in dollars to him. The play on the bridge is translated into English. Perhaps he will arrange with a translator to revise the translation of JULIET. He is interested in detailed progress reports on Juliette. KS is to send him the score of the CONCERT FOR VIOLINS AND ORCHESTRA No. 2 (he will deposit the materials with Bossey & Hawkes) and Paul Sacher's SERENAD [No. IV]. He doubts whether he will play the CONCERTINO FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA which he performed years ago and which they were now to send him from Paris. KS is to send a bill for $25 to Princeton Universty (gives address) for the performance of the FIELD MASS. BM is very busy, tired from his trip to Europe and is also financially exhausted. If KS is fired from Melantrich, BM will not sign any contract with them, and may cancel the old ones since they have not sent him royalties for the works. He wants to make it clear that he only worked with them because of KS. He recalls the meeting in Paris. KS is to try to come to America as well. BM will do what he can.
