Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů sent his CONCERT FOR SMITH QUARTET AND ORCHESTRA (Schott) to the International Festival in Amsterdam; it is in the repertoire of the Pro Arte ensemble. He asks Václav Talich to vote for the work if he is on the committee. Publisher. Schott has asked VT to send Martin new scores (PARTITY, CONCERT FOR VLC AND ORCH. No. 1 and SINFONIE CONCERTANTE). He has begun work on a violin concerto for [Samuel] Dushkin [VIOLIN CONCERTO No. 1]. Like others, he believes that the crisis will soon pass and things will get better. He gives his Paris address.
