Content and physical description
ContentBM will try to get all the documents, the problem will be with the certificates - he has no confirmation of qualifications. He describes his health condition - still not good. He has completed the 6th SMITH QUARTET with difficulty and does not have the energy to start something new. The consulate has finally adjusted his support. Also, expenses with doctors are less. BM doesn't make it a requirement that the Philharmonic play the 5th SYMPHONY at the Festival, but then he would like them to give it as a world premiere at the beginning of the next season so that other orchestras can give it. He would welcome the Philharmonic paying him something for the symphony. Elman will probably ask for a lot of money, but he hasn't had the right of first refusal for a long time. Other violinists, such as Isaac Stern, are already interested in the work. Munch may want to give the CONCERTO GROSSO (at the Festival). The Conservatory thing may not push JL anyway, he's been secured for a while now and wouldn't be able to come anyway. He sometimes telephones with Mrs. Löwenbach. JL is supposed to write to UE to see what they intend to do with CONCERT GROSS (they haven't answered him) and if they could publish it in Melantrich.
