Content and physical description
ContentHe attended the premieres of the Madrigals and Symphony No. 3, and the reviews were good. He has embarked on a piano concerto for Firkušný, he has finished the first movement but doesn't know if he will finish it, he doesn't have much time and can't always work. Quite incomprehensibly, he has been charged money for the examination, which was reimbursed by the local consulate. The violinist Frohlich visits him, has plans to promote (BM's works?), asks Loewenbach if he knows him. He was very pleased with the piano lift of Juliette, is happy with it and would need one with English translation - Rudy would play it for Downs. His health is still not good, although it is improving. He is tired of the work and many people. He describes the New York weather. Informs himself what to do for repatriation. He doesn't know where to put the manuscripts so at least the last ones won't get lost.
