Content	[Vladimír Vaněk and his family thank Charlotte Martinů for] her letter of 3 July.They could not wait to hear how Charlotte liked Prague and how she rated the Zurich premiere of [Greek Passions]. Václav Hanno immediately wrote to Jarka Vaňek from Prague. He regretted that he had not had the opportunity to meet ChM at the Zrzavy's. He would like to submit to her in writing, through VV, questions about Bohuslav Martinů, especially his piano concertos. VV will then send his questions to her. VV comments on ChM's unpleasant news and impressions of Bohemia. He is also glad for the news about [Jaromir and Anna] Spacek, he has not heard from them since he left Prague. Where do they live? VV understands little of what they need regarding the Electrolux refrigerator. It is a Swedish factory and the requirements need to be specified. VV [and family] would like to see Charlotte sometime. They have much to tell. When they go to France, they will visit her in Vieux-Moulin. If she goes to Switzerland or somewhere closer to Italy, she is to inform them and they could meet halfway. They are glad that the GREEK PASCHES have been a success. They hope to see them at La Scala. It is a pity, however, that the decorations were not done by Jan Brázda, on whom Bohuslav Martinů relied and discussed [it with him]. Everyone was shocked by the death of Ludmila [Bertlova-Kubelíková]. JB [and ?] were right there when she died. RK feels lost without her - she was the one who arranged everything for him. He also cancelled all his performances except one festival.
