| Content | Two sheets of notes written in Karel Šolc's hand on Bohuslav Martinů's compositions:
NONET was written in 1924 in Paris for the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and KS. the 1st and 2nd movements are missing. this three-movement work was never performed.
PRELUDE and COMPOSITION WITHOUT A TITLE were also composed for KS in 1924. KS never performed them, forgot about them and found them only when moving in 1950.
The 1919 Sonata for Violin and Piano, dedicated to Stanislav Novák and KS, was never performed.
After writing the CZECH RAPSODY, Martinů wrote several PRELUDIES for KS, 3 of which KS played soon after the performance of the CZECH RAPSODY, i.e. in the winter of 1919 at a novelty concert in Prague, and the last of which, the PRELUDIUM in E flat minor, he played for the first time at a concert given by František Ondříček in Prague in October 1919.
KS arranged the piano excerpt for THE SOLDIER AND THE DANCER.
In the 1930s Martinů sent Karel Šolc the Polka from THREE CZECH DANCES. A revised version of the polka, which KS often played in its original version, has been published (KS has this version in a copy at home, and it is dedicated to Madame [Jane] Mortier.
FANTASY for two pianos was first performed at the Mánes evening, played by KS and Václav Holzknecht.
