Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů writes to Charlotte Martinů that he has received her letter and writing from Ginette [Fievet]. He wishes the newlyweds all the best and hopes that ChM will have time to rest. He is working on finishing the composition [SMITH QUARTET No. 7 (CONCERTO DA CAMERA)]. He is composing every day, it is going well. He is planning what to do next, whether to stay in the US and leave in the spring, or to return earlier. He intends to think about everything with [Frank] Rybka. ChM also needs to think about what all they will take with them. BM saw [Angelo] Reyes who promised him he would take care of everything. He asks that ChM ask [Marcelle] de Lacour for a copy of the CONCERT FOR CEMBALO AND SMALL ORCHESTRA. It is being rushed, with publication and recording forthcoming. Karel [Novak] hasn't written yet, BM needs to know how things are going with the SYMPHONY [No. 5] material. [Ernest] Ansermet plans to perform the piece in Texas. He asks if ChM has seen [Alexander] Russell. He has had no news from Marcelle Manziarla. BM will contact ChM when he finishes the concert [CONCERT FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA No. 3].
