ContentJaroslav Mihule is very busy with the preparation of the Bohuslav Martinů Society. He is performing an important function, but hopefully he will be released to his office again in some time. The chairman of the Society will be Štěpán Engel. Today the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of [Václav] Neumann performed SYMPHONIC FANTASIES [SYMPHONY No. 6]. It was great, JM is delighted. The recording together with 2. SYMPHONY will be released by Supraphon, who plan to record the complete six symphonies.
[JM received a letter from ChM dated 16.11. He asks for the name and address of the editor of SCHERZ. Need to wait for the second edition of JM's book in Orbis - been waiting since 1974, nothing yet. JM shares ChM's opinion on Czech recordings, will tell Supraphon.
