Content and physical description
ContentCharlotte Martinů thanks Richard Klos for his kind letter of 23.10.1974 [CHF 1974-10-23]. She asks for two records (Panton, CONCERT FOR FLUTE, HOUSEL AND ORCHESTRA) to be sent to her. She describes her health and the complications connected with sending the parcels to the East. Writes to Prof. [Lev] Ginsburg that the package for him is already ready and waiting to be sent to Russia. Written by [Jaroslav] Mihule, she also received a record from Supraphon (CONCERT FOR CELLO No. 1). As for the manuscript of the unknown quartet owned by Mr Le Calve, ChM still has not received [Didier] Duclos's address. He will have to visit DD in Paris. She complains of the cold weather, which is not doing her any good. Even though there is interest in setting up an international society of friends of Bohuslav Martinů, no one is doing anything about it. She has written to Supraphon about SONATA FOR TWO MUSES, but has not yet received a reply. Abbot Verbrugge often visits her and helps her.
